The MCE Insurance British Superbike Championship is set for its annual visit to Lincolnshire this weekend (21/22/23 August) as tens of thousands of fans from across the UK head to Cadwell Park near Louth.
Australian Josh Brookes is the standings leader ahead of the two headlining MCE BSB races on Sunday, and the Milwaukee Yamaha rider always puts on a good show for the fans with his spectacular motocross-style leaps over the Mountain section of the track.

Brookes heads defending champion Shane ‘Shakey’ Byrne in the overall points standings, as the four-time victor of the toughest motorcycle championship in the world continues his ‘strive for five’ titles with the PBM Kawasaki team. He’ll be determined to stop Brookes’ momentum and return to winning ways this weekend.

The county’s best talent will also be fighting all the way for victories on home territory with Honda Racing, based just ten minutes down the road in Louth, pushing for podium finishes with Dan Linfoot, whilst another Louth-based contender, Peter Hickman, is eager for a repeat of his victory from last season.

Lincoln’s Lee Jackson fought into the top ten last time out in his rookie campaign and he will be hoping home knowledge pays off as he prepares for a big points haul for the Buildbase BMW team, whilst international stars including former MotoGP ace John Hopkins will be fighting at the front too.

The event will also be visited by two of Lincolnshire’s biggest talents as Moto2 World Championship contender Sam Lowes will be joined by brother and 2013 MCE BSB Champion Alex during the weekend to watch all of the action.
